I AM a traveler
I need not fear my journey for the Lord is my guide He has made a way of much beauty As I go, there are many beautiful things That I see; and hear; and touch, and feel.
The warmth of a mother’s smile; The colors of a sunrise or sunset or a rainbow; The feel of a gentle mist of rain upon my face; The sound of a child’s laughter; the touch of a lover’s hand.
And though I walk through some hard times, though I seem to experience pain and separation; the shadow of death; I seem to know poverty, wars, famine, hatred and crime;
I fear not my journey, for the Lord is with me. Her power and Her presence comforts me. Even in the midst of trials, She pours out Her Spirit of Love upon me, and I go in peace. My cup runs over with His goodness, and I move in Grace. I dwell in the Kingdom of Heaven, and I walk in joy. And my way is made easy as I press onward and upward. You see, I Am A Traveler.
I am ancientIn my journey through the ages, I pause awhile here, and here, and there. While I pause, I learn I have a mighty purpose; a mighty work to do. My own eternal spirit, God leads me in the path of prayer; Down the road of meditation and contemplation, and on through the sounds of silence. I come to know that His Glory and Her Splendor are in me, and you. When my work here is over, I move on. You see; |
